Black & White Printing

Are you about to contact us about getting a quotation for black & white printing? If you are, then read the following first:

  • We print on large B1-sized presses — about the size of ten (10) A4 sheets of paper.
  • The biggest cost of each run is the cost of all the printing plates so:
    • We gather lots of different jobs onto each print run so the cost of those printing plates can be shared between all of those different jobs; and
    • Your job will take up only a small corner of the printing plates on that print run.
  • If you want a black & white job, then your choices are:
    • You can pay for a special 'one-off' black and white print run, but you will need to pay all of the cost of the plates, and that is very, very expensive; or
    • You can just take a place on an existing colour print run and save lots and lots of money. 

So, black and white printing is either dearer than colour printing (if you get your own B&W print run) or the same price as colour (if you share a print run with other jobs). So, you might as well create your own online quote for a full colour job.

Before you ask for a quote — our cheapest prices are available online.
So, before you ask for a quote:

  • Can the product you want be priced on our website?
  • If it can, and you still ask for a quote, then your quote will
       have an additional charge placed upon it.

If you are asking for a quote for a product that is not shown on our website,
then please ensure that you advise us of:

  • The type product about which you are enquiring;
  • The number of items you want printed;
  • Whether the job is single- or double-sided;
  • The postcode to which the job shall be delivered (or the
    country if outside Australia); and
  • Any other information you believe is important.

 

Please note that we do NOT send out samples — too many people
ask for us to send out samples, and that is the last we ever hear of
the matter — so, don't ask for any samples.
