Fridge Magnet Sizes

TheInternetPrinter has several different sized fridge magnets:

• Business card — 55mm x 90mm — fridge magnets are, as the term Business Card suggests, the same size as a business card. Business Card-sized fridge magnets are the most comon frdige magent that the print.
• Regular — 55mm x 90mm — fridge magnets are, as the term Regular suggests, the normal size for a fridge magnet (and this is the same size as a business card).
• A6 — 105mm x 148mm — fridge magnets are ¼ the size of an A4 standard letterhead and are about the same size as a postcard.
• DL — 99mm x 210mm — fridge magnets are 1/3rd the size of an A4 standard letterhead and are about the same size as a landscape postcard.
• A5 — 148mm x 210mm — fridge magnets are ½ the size of an A4 standard letterhead and are very large when it comes to fridge magnets. If you purchase fridge magnets that are this size, then they will stand out like nothing else!

 

Below is an image that shows the relative sizes of the A-series fridge magnets when compared to a standard A4 business letter.

A6 fridge magnets are ¼ A4 size.
A5 fridge magnets are ½ A4 size.
DL fridge magnets are 1/3rd A4 size.

Fridge Magnet Materials

Fridge magnets are printed on 0.9mm flexible vinyl. The vinyl is strong enough to withstand the pressures of being pulled off and being placed back on metal surfaces, yet flexible enough to ensure that the printing does not crack or chaffe.

Our fridge magnets are also coated with a gloss celloglaze, and this ensures that they have a long life (whether stored in a box, or suffering the wear and tear that confronts them when placed on a fridge or filing cabinet).

Fridge magnet design suggestions

Lastly, we have a couple of suggestions concerning the design.

• First — We suggest that you keep your fridge magnet design as simple as your can. Simply put:
  • If your fridge magnet has too much information on it, then it will appear crowded and your message will be lost in the crowd. However;
  • If your fridge magnet has only the essential information, then that essential information will be easily found.
• Second — Use one bright colour in the background (e.g.: Post Box Red or Navy Blue), or use white in the background.
  • The one bright colour in your background will make your fridge magnet stand out from the other fridge magnets. Alternately;
  • If your background colour is white and you only have the essential information on the fridge magnet, then the uncluttered and understated nature of your fridge magnet will make it stand out from the other fridge magnets.
